Personal Care Assistant
- Works Closely With: Visiting Care Plus office and field staff, after-hours supervisor, other agency staff, clients and their families.
- Summary of Duties: Provides personal care assistance services to enable that individual to live in their own home and community, rather than in an institution. Assist with functions of daily living, self-care, and mobility.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to read and write adequately. Must be able to complete required visit records, forms and reports of visits. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience: Experience preferred in providing direct assistance with daily living activities as an aide or tech in a personal services agency, home health agency, hospital, long-term care facility, or in serving people with developmental disabilities.
